SHADES

Shades are generally made from single panels of fabric or woven wood; you can raise or lower them to achieve the light and privacy levels you want. Sheer shades—an alternative to fabric panels and woven wood—have soft, adjustable, graceful fabric vanes that capture that beauty of light, while maintaining daytime privacy.

Shades are available in a number of styles, making them incredibly versatile, and giving you an array of options for your space.

BLINDS

Blinds are the window treatments that give you the most control over the amount of light in your space. Constructed of horizontal or vertical slats, you can raise/lower horizontal blinds or traverse vertical blinds, as well as rotate the slats, giving you as much or as little view to the outdoors as you want.

Blinds have come a long way since their inception. Today’s blinds are just as fashion-forward as other types of window treatments. Choose from real or faux wood (ideal for the heat and humidity in bathrooms), modern-looking aluminum, and even soft fabrics.

SHUTTERS

Interior shutters are your go-to when you need durability in a space (think of a playroom), but you don’t want to sacrifice aesthetics. Easy to clean, shutters are available in real hardwood as well as composite wood. Plus, they’re cordless, making them a great option if you have small children or pets.

Shutter louvers come in different sizes, so consider the view outside your window. How much do you want to see? The larger the louver, the more expansive your exterior view. Shutters are also ideal for specialty shaped windows like arches and angles, as well as sliding-glass doors, and are available in a large selection of paint and stain colors.

DRAPERY

Nothing exudes classic quite like drapery, whose fabric hangs from the top of the window down to (or puddling on) the floor. Drapery pulls double duty as both a decorative and functional window treatment. Finish a look by adding drapery at both sides of a shade-covered window, or use drapery on its own. Whether you want a tailored look or something more contemporary, you’re sure to find it in the extensive fabric offerings and different pleat (the fabric at the top of the drapery) styles.
